These are the different hearing tests for babies and newborns
Hearing tests for babies
Babies and children are provided regularly scheduled hearing tests to help find out the several hearing issues early on. Early tests from the top Audiologist in Chennai ensure that any issues are detected and handled as soon as possible, even though significant hearing issues mostly during early life are uncommon.
How essential are hearing assessments?
Listening tests that are conducted early after birth can help detect most children with substantial hearing impairment and test results later in childhood can identify any overlooked or gradually worsening issues. Otherwise, a listening difficulty can not be given a diagnosis for several months or years without regular hearing tests.
When will the hearing of my child be monitored?
The hearing of your child may be monitored: In a couple of weeks of birth, this testing is often called newborn hearing health check first before the clinic leaves after you are born. This is a regular procedure for all kids and even those who are born at home are invited to come to the leading Hearing Aid Shops in Chennai.
From nine months to 2.5 years – if, as part of an examination of your child’s growth and development, you have any issues regarding your kid’s listening and hearing tests can be arranged if needed. About 2 to 4 years old – often these kids take a hearing test when they begin their school, depending on the season, and this can be done at school or in the

Listening tests for older children

Audiometric visual strengthening
In kids 6 months of age to 2.5 years of age, sensory strengthening sonography (VRA) is generally used to test the audience. Your kid sits on the seat or a recliner and during the exam when the sounds appear. Your child is instructed to connect the audio with a pictorial bonus for trying to light up an object or a computer monitor.
Audioplay Play
A game audiometry assessment may occur for young kids between the ages of 2 and 5. Tones are played via the headphones mostly during the assessment, and then when the tone is heard, your child is expected to do the basic task. This can vary between bouncing the ball in a bucket and finishing the puzzle. Like VRA, the loudness, as well as the pitch of the audio, varies so that your kid can listen to a calm tone
Test for Bone Leading
A tiny vibratory machine from the leading Hearing aid center in Chennai behind the ear could also be used for the use of headphones or speakers. This instrument moves the audio directly via the head cartilage into the ear canal, so that it can help in determining which area of the ear does not function reliably if your kid has issues with the listening.
