Based on Frequency Slopes
- If the hearing loss slope between 2 kHz to 4 kHz rises more steeply than the hearing aid response slope, an earmould becomes necessary
- If the hearing aid slope is steeper, a constricted or modified earmould may be recommended to optimise sound delivery
