Essential Hearing Aid Maintenance Tips

- Avoid deep or aggressive cleaning with sharp tools or brushes.

3. Clean Earwax Regularly
- Earwax buildup is one of the most common reasons for hearing aid malfunction
- Use a cleaning brush to gently remove visible wax from the sound outlet.
- For BTE (Behind-The-Ear) hearing aids, wash the ear mould occasionally with mild soap and water (only after detaching it from the device).
4. Proper Storage Is Important
- Always store your hearing aids in a dry box or dehumidifier, especially in humid regions like Nagercoil.
- Remove the battery before placing the hearing aids in the dry box to prevent corrosion and battery drain.
